Women’s Counseling of Nashua will be using Google Meet for teletherapy sessions with your counselor. Google Meet is a HIPAA compliant teleconferencing application. If you have scheduled a teletherapy appointment with your therapist, you will receive an invitation from them with the time of the appointment that will contain a link to the session. When you receive the invitation, please accept it. This will notify your therapist that you received the invite.
We strongly recommend that you use headphones during your session for both privacy and clarity of communications.
At the time of your session, simply click on the link in the invitation.
The link will work from a computer, tablet, or phone. Depending on the device, you may be prompted to download the Google Meet app.
Once the page loads in a browser, press the “Join Meeting” button.
In the meeting, there will be buttons at the bottom of the screen that will allow you to:
Mute the microphone – Leave the meeting – Turn off your camera
In the unlikely event that there is a technical problem with Google Meet, DoxyMe will be used as a backup. Your therapist will send you a link that will include https://doxy.me/[room name] with the room name being specific to your therapist.
You will be asked to enter your name and select “check in”. When your therapist is ready, they will start the meeting. You will have the same controls in the meeting as are in the meeting as are in Google Meet.
