Clinical Approach
Making the choice to attend therapy can be difficult and sometimes overwhelming. Therefore, I work to create authentic and genuine relationships to gain trust with my clients. I believe creating a safe and comfortable environment is key in the therapeutic experience. I use a variety of interventions and can tailor my approach to the specific needs of each client. Therapy is not a “one size fits all” and you should be treated as an individual when you come in for therapy. I meet clients where they are and value their input in their treatment. As a therapist, I offer support and guidance, but we will work as a team to develop solutions that work best for you and your goals.
Clinical Interests
I enjoy working with older adolescents and young adults who may be dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, disordered eating, and identity issues that can occur with life transitions. I connect well with this age group and provide helpful tools and strategies to assist in times of need. I also have experience working with mood and personality disorders and past trauma. My main priority as a therapist is helping my clients develop healthy, attainable goals that we can work together to achieve.
About Me
My undergraduate degree was in Psychology and Sociology at Southern New Hampshire University. While completing this degree, I completed an internship working with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. After graduating in 2019, I returned to school to complete my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rivier University while working full time in administrative roles in the mental health field. This experience helped me develop strong work-life balance and self-care skills. During my last year of graduate school, I completed an internship at Southern New Hampshire University where I worked with clients aging from 18-36 with a variety of stressors and diagnoses. In my free time, I enjoy being around family, attending cardio kickboxing classes, and traveling.
