Kerri Whitney-Beretta, MS
(She/Her)
Approach
When working with clients of all backgrounds, I strive to foster a warm, collaborative therapeutic relationship. My goal is to work together as a team where my role is to empower you and hold space for life’s challenging moments. I approach therapy from a feminist lens while incorporating elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), and other modalities based on clients’ unique needs. I am a HAES-aligned, weight-neutral provider and hope to help you live confidently as your authentic self.
Interests
As a queer identifying and affirming therapist, I have a special interest in working with LGBTQIA+-identifying clients as well as those experiencing challenges related to eating disorders and neurodiversity. Addressing the unique needs of women, adolescent girls, and gender-expansive individuals has become a core value in my clinical practice.
About Me
I graduated from Plymouth State University with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and an Eating Disorder Institute certificate in 2023. Most recently, I provided counseling to various populations in a queer-celebratory group practice. Prior to entering the clinical field, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Music Education and taught middle school music as well as individual voice, piano, and guitar lessons. In my spare time, I recharge with music, crochet, archery, reading, and spending time with my dog.
