Hannah Burgess, LICSW
(She/Her)
Welcome! My name is Hannah (she/her) and I am so happy you are here considering starting the journey of therapy!
Approach
I tailor my approach to therapy based upon my client’s wants and needs, pulling from a variety of treatment models including Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, narrative therapy, trauma informed therapy, and others. Ultimately, therapy is built in the therapeutic relationship and you know yourself best, but I will be here to provide support and guidance along the way!
Clinical Interests
I have always had a passion for working in women’s health and have worked in this field since college. I have worked for an adoption agency, on the post-partum floor & special care nursery of a hospital, and within an OBGYN office in a community health center. I know how important mental health care in the perinatal stage of life is and can provide clinical support through pregnancy, post-partum, pregnancy loss, or fertility concerns, as well as general parenting stress.
In addition to perinatal mental health, I also work with teenagers, young adults, and adults of all genders and identities. I work with folks who may be struggling with a variety of concerns including but not limited to anxiety, depression, PTSD, bereavement, relationship conflicts, and other life adjustments/transitions.
About me:
I am a licensed independent clinical social worker in both NH and MA. I graduated from Boston University in 2017 with my master’s in clinical social work and graduated from Eastern University (a small college outside of Philadelphia), 3 years prior with my bachelor’s in social work.
In my free time I enjoy anything that gets me adventuring outside. My ideal day starts with drinking a good cup of coffee while watching my dog play, spending the day hiking in the mountains, and enjoying time with friends and family.
