Women’s Counseling of Nashua is a smaller specialty clinical practice where our therapists and medication providers routinely collaborate to provide well rounded and holistic client care. We strive to offer a vibe that promotes personal growth and work life balance; the same practice we try to teach our clients. We are a BIPOC, LGBTQ+ welcoming and allied work environment.
The clinical therapist will provide outpatient individual therapy for clients of Women’s Counseling of Nashua, LLC. Clinical treatment areas may include some (not necessarily all) of the following areas: perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, infertility counseling, parenting, career stress, eating disorders, adjustment to medical issues, trauma, school issues, mood disorders, mood disorders due to hormonal issues, relationship problems, neurodivergent populations, grief and loss, general stress management, autoimmune and other medical conditions, and LGBTQ+ populations. This list is not all inclusive. At this time we have a strong preference to hire applicants with a desire and / or experience working with our new moms coping with postpartum mood disorders and general parenting stress. Training and ongoing supervision will be provided.
Looking through a feminist lens, Women’s Counseling of Nashua’s professional team provides services keeping our practice mission and values in mind.
Mission:
We recognize that women and gender-diverse individuals continue to be marginalized groups in our society. We strive to provide care designed to foster their healing, growth, and well-being.
Our Values:
1. We believe that well-supported moms and caregivers create thriving families and communities.
We provide a holistic, collaborative care environment that sees the whole person—the trauma history, the stressful job, the strained relationship, the financial hardships, the parenting struggles, the societal barriers. We know how these stressors can negatively impact well-being, contribute to postpartum and perimenopausal distress, or make parenting, caring for others, or life in general more difficult. Our team of therapists and nurse practitioners work together to provide counseling, support, and expertise to help lessen the impact of stress on mothers, parents, and all those navigating caregiving roles—whether for children, aging parents, or both. We believe that one of the greatest gifts you can give to your children, your communities, and yourself is your own emotional well-being.
2. We strive to practice what we promote
We prioritize taking care of ourselves and each other, advocate for ourselves at work and in our communities, aim for balanced partnerships at home, and continually strive for work-life balance that honors our limits and real-world challenges. Most of us have been in therapy ourselves. We consider self-knowledge and insight essential to providing sound and ethical services. We seek out supervision regularly and are committed to ongoing learning to help us respond thoughtfully to difference and the evolving needs of those we serve. We are grounded in the understanding that we are all humans first—works in progress on our own journeys toward greater well-being, just like our clients.
3. We actively participate in and serve our communities.
We are part of the communities we support. We value making our services accessible through sliding scale options with our Master-level interns and associate therapists for clients who may not have the financial resources to afford our full fees. We participate in fundraising and outreach efforts with local non-profit organizations. We help any client who contacts our office find support, whether we can provide it ourselves or not. We are committed to social justice, fairness, and affirming care. Many of our clinicians are moms, caregivers and / or members of the LGBTQIA+ community and bring lived experience to our work. We are aware of and responsive to the overlapping systems of oppression—including racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, and ableism—that impact the communities we serve. We look for opportunities to support change that extends beyond the therapy room.
